Uncle Mo Taken Down a Peg

Uncle MoUncle Mo has been bumped from many Kentucky Derby prediction lists from the #1 position down a peg to #2 overall. The new top horse to watch out for on May 7th is now Dialed In. Dialed In won his last outing at the Florida Derby on April 3rd, posting a Beyer figure of 93. The best number that Dialed In has posted, however, is a 97. Uncle Mo’s best stands at 108.

Uncle Mo finished 3rd at the Wood Memorial, leaving many critics scratching their heads in wonder. What happened to the champion two year old? Was the distance too big of an obstacle for him? On Thursday, it was released by Uncle Mo’s team that the horse had been suffering a gastrointestinal infection at the time of the race. He is expected to make a full recovery by May 7th, thus making him a very viable factor for Kentucky Derby wagering. Even with his third place finish, Uncle Mo should not be crossed off of your list of horses that will finish in the money.
